Loopback detection identifies loops created by a specific port and automatically disables the affected port. The cable diagnostics feature is designed for network administrators to quickly assess copper cable quality, identify cable types, and detect cable faults.

The DGS-1100 series incorporates energy-saving features without compromising performance. Most switches in the series have a fanless design for quiet and energy-efficient operation. All are IEEE 802.3az compliant and include Link Status detection and Time-Based PoE (except for models DGS-1100-05PD and DGS-1100-08P).
