The thin profile makes it perfect for mounting on a window or door.
The alarm requires 2 x CR2032 batteries (included) which have an average life of one year. The alarm indicates when the batteries are almost empty and you can press the "battery test" button at any time to check the battery status.
No tools are needed to mount the alarm: it has magnetic sensors and double-sided tape (supplied). Attach the alarm to the glass in the door or window and place the magnetic sensor on the door or frame and you're done.
