Alpina's smart indoor motion sensor is a perfect product to increase the security of your home
Burglars often break into homes when you are not at home and not doing much essence of himself. This sensor immediately detects movement within 5 meters and a range of 120 degrees all around. As soon as the sensor detects movement, you can receive a notification on your smartphone through the Alpina app.
Alpina Smart Home app and easy installation
When the sensor detects movement, you can receive an alarm or a notification on your smartphone.
This is done through Alpina's own app which is easily downloaded to the Android or Apple Store.
The sensor is easily connected with the app and if you have several sensors, you can name each sensor to know which one raised the alarm. The sensor is easily placed on a flat and clean surface using the included double-sided tape.
Detects movement up to 5 meters away
The sensor detects movement up to 5 meters away and makes sure to detect unwanted visit in time. If you have installed Alpina's Smart Home app, you will receive an alarm or notification directly to your smartphone. Do you also have a camera from e.g. With Alpina, you can easily see immediately who is there.
Schedule and reminder
If you are always at home at a particular time of the day, you can set a schedule in Alpina's app that the sensor should not warn at a particular time of day. If you also want to be sure that the sensor is on, you can set a reminder that it is on. Everything is managed easily in the app.
How does a PIR motion sensor work?
When warm objects such as people and animals pass by the detection area of the PIR motion sensor, the IR signal changes which is detected by the pyroelectric probe. The sensor then reports the change to the app or a gateway.
Detailed info about the reporting process:
When the sensor detects a possible human movement (a change in the IR signal), it sends "Motion Detected" to the app/gateway, starts a 50-second timer and goes into sleep (it stops detecting motion within the 50-second sleep).
If the sensor detects a change in the IR signal within 10 seconds of waking from sleep, it enters another sleep/wake cycle without reporting to the app/gateway.
If the sensor does not detect any change in the IR signal (no motion) within 10 seconds after waking from sleep mode, it will send a "No Motion" message to the app/gateway.
The automation trigger with the “no motion” condition takes effect if the app does not receive a “motion detected” message after the sensor sends the “No Motion” message to the app and the service is activated in the backend.
Zigbee gateway
With Alpina's smart home range, different products can be linked together in the same system. Whether it's a window/door sensor, motion sensor or water leak sensor, they work in the same system and app. These Zigbee products are controlled by a gateway that is purchased separately. The Zigbee gateway can control up to 50 different Alpina products. Everything is easily controlled through Alpina's app.
Also works together with other Zigbee controllers and works with Home Assistant.
